Jhih-Yun Liu

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural & Resource Economics at the University of Connecticut, beginning in Fall 2024.

My research interests fall within the intersection of agricultural and resource economics, labor economics, demographic economics, and economic history. I have been working on research related to farm succession, rural migration, and rural mortality in the US.

I earned my Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota and my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Agricultural Economics from National Taiwan University. I am originally from Pingtung, a rural county in southern Taiwan.
